A purchasing director at Sunrise Bayumas Sdn Bhd since July 2022 and a Coventry University marketing graduate, Rugendran Vellayan is a 29-year-old BN (MIC) candidate for N31 who volunteers in welfare work including flood relief and Bakul Bantuan distributions.

An Amanah first-time candidate for the Kahang seat (N31), Mohd Sabri Abd Kadir is a new face in a seat that BN (MIC) won in 2022.

Former Puteri Wangsa assemblyman (2018-2022) Mazlan Bujang won his seat by a majority of nearly 25,000 votes, twice served as a Johor state executive councillor, and chaired Johor Bersatu before leaving the party in January 2022 and joining PAS in 2026.
