Zamil Najwah
52 years old
A doctor with an orthopaedic background, Zamil Najwah served as a medical officer at Hospital Sultanah Aminah and now runs a private clinic in Pasir Gudang; he also joined humanitarian missions to Gaza in 2013 and Beirut in 2016, contested Larkin on a PKR ticket in the 2022 state election, and now stands for BERSAMA.
Background
- Received early schooling at Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah before studying medicine at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.[1]
- Aged 52; married to Halimah binti Ab Rahman with six children.[2]
- Experienced in orthopaedics, having served at Hospital Kuala Terengganu, Hospital Bintulu, Hospital UKM and Hospital Sultanah Aminah in Johor Bahru.[2]
- Now runs his own private medical clinic in Pasir Gudang.[1]
- A former deputy president of IKRAM Pasir Gudang and of the Sekolah Rendah Islam Hidayah JB parent-teacher association; an I-Bantu IKRAM volunteer on East Coast and Penang flood-relief missions.[2]
