- Served as an assistant engineer at Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) from 1988 to 2002; holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Oita National College of Technology, Japan (1988) and a Certificate in Civil Engineering from Politeknik Kuantan (1984).[2]
- Has held various PKR posts since 1999, including PKR Putrajaya branch chief (2008-2022); political secretary to the PKR President's office since April 2024.[2][1]
- Won the Batu Pahat parliamentary seat in 2022 with 45,242 votes (45.47%) and a 15,972 majority, after twice losing Semberong (2013, 2018).[1]
- Born in Kedah; holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Oita National College of Technology, Japan (1988).[3]
- Born 2 January 1960 in Muar, Johor; an engineer with a BSc in control engineering from the University of Sheffield and an MBA from UKM; holds the title Dato'.[1]

- Active in humanitarian missions: a tsunami relief volunteer in Aceh and Meulaboh (2004), led Ramadan aid missions in Cambodia for JIM Antarabangsa (2009), and joined a Gaza aid mission with MAPIM (2011).[2]
