- Son of the late Krishnasamy Shiman, the Tenggaroh assemblyman from 1990 who was assassinated in an MIC building in 2008.[1]

- Contested the Pemanis state seat for PN in 2022 and lost; now stands for Bersatu under Perikatan Nasional.[3]
