- In July 2026 he told Sinar Harian that MCMC officers had served him notice of a charge under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act, over social media posts pressing for the removal of colonial-era place names in Negeri Sembilan and a cartoon he had shared. The charge was expected to be read at the Sepang Sessions Court and the case is undecided.[2]
