- At a campaign ceramah in Johor Bahru on 28 June 2026, he raised Selangor's pig-farming ban, saying many families had depended on the industry for decades and questioning why it had become controversial; the remarks drew wide reaction, after which Parti Bersama Malaysia issued campaign guidelines to its 15 candidates, while Rafizi Ramli defended him as advocating for a minority livelihood.[4][5]
