Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia graduate and DAP Johor state committee member Ng Yak Howe (黄益豪) has held the Bentayan seat for PH (DAP) since May 2018, winning in 2018 with 78.67% of the vote and retaining it in 2022 with a majority of 7,476.

- A graduate of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and a member of the DAP Johor state committee.[1]
- Bentayan assemblyman since May 2018, winning the seat in 2018 (78.67%) and 2022 (63.30%, a 7,476 majority).[1]
- Has held the posts of DAP Johor organising secretary and DAPSY Johor deputy chief.[1]
