Background
- A Pakatan Harapan (PKR) politician of Indian descent based in the Pagoh area of Johor.[1]
- Holds the post of PKR Johor state treasurer (on the MPN Johor council) and is the Pagoh branch chief, heading the party's grassroots machinery for the Pagoh parliamentary area that contains the Bukit Kepong state seat.[2][3]
- At the 2022 Johor state election he contested the Buloh Kasap (N01) seat for PKR, finishing second with 3,579 votes (22.76%) behind BN-UMNO's Zahari Sarip.[4]
- In 2025 he was among 19 PKR Johor branch chiefs who signed a joint statement urging the party to immediately suspend nine PKR MPs who had called for a Royal Commission of Inquiry into judicial appointments.[5]
- Aged 59, born in Muar, Johor; holds a Diploma in Operations and Project Management from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (2022) and a Grade 2 Steam Engine and Boiler certification (2001).[6]
